Each youngster that qualifies to participate in Hook A Kid On Golf is sponsored through $125 contributions, which are then matched by funds to provide two children the opportunity to be involved. Since 1998 the United States Golf Association (USGA) has provided Hook A Kid On Golf with various grants to provide support to communities throughout the country who conduct Hook A Kid On Golf programs. In 2008, The USGA and the Lexus Drive for Success Grant provided Hook A Kid On Golf with $200,000 in matching grants which will be used to sponsor children who normally would not be able to afford to participate in a Hook A Kid On Golf Tee Level Clinic.
